“I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but it wasn’t until my own ACL injury and recovery through physical therapy that I found my passion. Experiencing the process firsthand showed me how powerful physical therapy can be in restoring function, confidence, and quality of life. I find it deeply rewarding to help patients move past fear and limitations, regain confidence, and return to doing what they love.”

  • A.S. Physical Therapy Assistant: Cerritos College, Norwalk, CA
  • B.S. Kinesiology – Exercise Science: CSUF, Fullerton, CA

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, Ruben has worked mainly in outpatient orthopedics, as well as inpatient and skilled nursing since 2016. Apart from his work experience, he has experienced a variety of injuries and surgeries which also contribute to his first hand knowledge of dealing with injuries and how to move forward with rehabilitation, physically and mentally. Ruben’s goal is to bring satisfaction to his patients, and to know that he has made a difference in their lives.

Ruben grew up in Southern California, got married in March of 2024 and recently moved to Utah in August 2025 with his wife. Their move comes from wanting to fulfill a dream where they could build their life together and expand their family. In such a short period of time they have been able purchase their first home and are thrilled to welcome their first baby girl in June 2026. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, watching sports, attending concerts, playing golf, riding motorcycles, working out and snowboarding.
